Tui beer along with many beers first brewed in the 19th century, had extra hops added to keep a strong disinct taste over long periods of transportation. These characteristics can still be tasted today as Tui is renowned as a great tasting beer with a strong but smooth taste.

Tui Beer was first brewed in 1889 by entrepreneur (and all round smart bloke) Henry Wagstaff, who vowed to supply "export quality brews to beer drinkers around the colony". His ales quickly earned a reputation for excellence, particularly the East India Pale Ale. The beer we now know as Tui soon became a favourite drop and it's as good today as it's always been.

He loves it so much that when we were in New Zealand we had to visit the Tui factory (well it was just a mile away from where my daughter was living) to see it made. Tui beer and the tui itself are his top favourite things (he loved listening to the tuis in the tree in my daughters garden)

By Paul (west yorks) Last had Tui IPA in New Zealand over two years ago. I'm so glad Sanza stock it. I couldn't get it anywhere else in the UK. It was delivered next day just in time for glorious sunshine enjoyed my first glass in the sunshine. It was just as I remember. A full flavoured ale but not bitter.

By PJ's missus I was really stuck as to what to get hubby for our anniversary this year (he is the man who has everything and hobbies I don't understand) so thought a case of his favourite NZ beer would do the trick. He first tried it in NZ when we went home to see my family and he was hooked. So imagine both his surprise and delight to unwrap a big box full of his favourite brew! By Matt Great tasting Kiwi beer, one of my all time favourites (since first trying it in NZ), much to the annoyance of my father-in-law who prefers Steinlager.
'Best Before' dates (not to be confused with 'Use By' dates found on products such as fresh meat and fish) are simply a manufacturers guideline concerned to a products quality.
Often companies like Bluebird and Smiths stamp their products with short dates for commercial reasons rather then any accurate reflection of actual food quality.
We find most goods are perfectly good to eat for many months after.
